| English Team Update
The WVU English Equestrian Team is heading to Allegheny College on March 9th for their final regular season meet. The club is ahead of all 16 other schools that compete in their region, with 245 points, the team has a large lead over second place Seton Hill with 145 points.
Currently there are 3 English riders that have qualified for Regionals individually in their divisions. These riders will compete at Regionals on Sunday April 6th in Pittsburgh and must place 1st or 2nd in order to advance to Zones individually. There have been riders in the past that continued onto Nationals after placing 1st or 2nd at Zones. Last year Captain, Brittany Poff headed to Nationals after receiving 1st at Zones in Intermediate Flat. This year the Regional qualifiers that hope to follow her success are Megan Cavan (Open Flat), Jamie Killmeyer (Adv WTC), and Breanna Wallace (Walk Trot). Congratulations to these riders!

After the Allegheny meet and a 3rd consecutive Regional Championship the Mountaineers will head to Zone 3 Zones at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA on April 13th for a chance to compete for a spot to represent the Zone at Nationals in May which are being held at the L.A. Equestrian Center. The team has had individual riders compete at Nationals in the past, but is working hard to send their entire show team to compete.
The English Equestrian team welcomes any new members who are interested in riding, competing, or learning to ride while at school. Horses are provided for the club members, and all levels of riding are encouraged to join the club.
